House rules
Six rules. That's it. They keep Tradesies a place where the handshake still means something.

No money. Ever.
Tradesies is barter-only. No prices, no cash equivalents, no gift cards listed as 'value.' Trade goods for goods, or services for services.

Be honest about condition.
Photos must be of the actual item. Describe wear, defects, and quirks. A 'fair trade' starts with a fair description.

Keep it Kootenay.
Listings should originate in or be handed off within Nelson, Castlegar, Revelstoke, Cranbrook, Rossland, Kaslo or surrounding valleys.

Honour the handshake.
Once both parties agree to terms in chat, you've shaken on it. Show up, swap, and rate each other to build community trust.

No hate, no harassment.
We're neighbours. Treat people with respect. Discrimination, threats, or abuse will end your account.

No illegal items or services.
Firearms, drugs, wildlife, stolen goods — not here. When in doubt, ask a moderator.
